Modes
The HexBox offers multiple operation modes, giving you full control over how you use it in the field. Switching modes is simple:
- Press the Mode button once to cycle through Standard Sweep, Channel Hop, and Channel Skip.
- Press and hold the Mode button to switch between Wordbank and Bluetooth modes.
Mode Breakdown:
- Standard Sweep – Continuously scans all AM/FM frequencies using your chosen sweep speed.
- Channel Hop – Jumps only between strong saved stations, cutting out the static.
- Channel Skip – Ignores saved stations and plays only the static/white noise between them.
- Wordbank Mode – Plays MP3 or WAV files randomly from a microSD card (under 3 seconds = full playback; longer files = random 3-second segments).
- Bluetooth Mode – Connect your phone via Bluetooth to stream audio from ghost hunting apps or other sources directly through the HexBox speaker.
